A new gathering in Madrid welcomed community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist eu news now Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented different experiences and viewpoints on how open dialogue can strengthen coexistence.
In the discussion, participants addressed themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when rooted in respect for human rights.
